Blurb

Former covert field agent for the Prime Minister, Felicia Adler wants a normal life living as a wealthy widow. Unfortunately, a man from her past won’t allow her this comfort. He’s back to bring havoc into her life and play with her heart just as he’d done four years ago. But her mother’s disappearance forces Felicia to rely on him. If that’s not enough, her spirits are trying to keep her out of danger and help her find love in her life, once again.

Investigative officer for the Metropolitan Police, Sebastian Harrington sails all the way to Italy to find the thief he’s been hunting for over a year now. When he meets her face-to-face, he’s shocked to see the woman who’d stolen his heart and crushed it four years prior. Now he needs to find evidence against her, have her arrested, and transport her back to England to stand trial. If only his heart will allow it.

My Review

If you are looking for a suspenseful read with a touch of paranormal then you will like this one. It just was lacking in the romance department for me. I loved everything surrounding the hunt for her mother and how they bantered back and forth at times. But for a couple that had been so in love four years ago that spark just wasn’t there. They worked great together and I didn’t see the twist about her husband coming. The flashbacks were my favorite and helped with understanding them more. I loved the spirits and how they tried to help.

Felicia has an amazing gift and she regretted what happened four years ago. I really like her and understood why she did what she had to. Her spirits were really trying to help but just didn’t make it clear. She wanted him to understand.

Sebastian wanted his thief, but he had blinders on. His broken heart was controlling him and he wasn’t looking at the big picture for a long time. I couldn’t get into him for the first half of the book but did like him as time went on.
