Some of the sweetest things are memories that life is built from.

Miles Lawrence Hawkins, the fifth Earl of Archewyne, is on a rather urgent mission. He must visit the British Museum in London for the express purpose of finding and taking back an Egyptian relic that once belonged to his father, for it is needed on an upcoming dig. If he’s fortunate, he’ll have it in hand quickly and be on his way.

Emmaline, the Countess of Archewyne, is thrilled that the new adventure in her life won’t come with danger nipping at their heels or people chasing them with murder in their hearts. A simple trip to London is just the thing to fire her excitement. Perhaps she’ll cajole Miles into kissing her in the Egyptian gallery, where their first mission for the Crown—as well as their romance—began.

Their task careens down an unexpected path when they cannot immediately locate the Egyptian statuette. Throughout the extended search, they must elude the night watchmen while locked in the museum after dark. Miles and his wife revisit memories of their past as they pave their future with new ones. No matter how strong their love, somehow they have to find a way out with their reputations intact and the treasure secured lest all their dreams come to naught.

These two will always keep you on your toes with their adventures. This one is full of memories of their first adventure and even though they have changed over time. They are still the same passionate couple and their love keeps them strong. Looking for the final statuette brings up old wounds, but the trill of another adventure keeps them going.

Emmaline is still struggling some with everything that happened, but that adventurous fire is coming back more and more. I love how she is always pushing him to do something that could get them caught.

Miles is adjusting to being in charge and still worries about his reputation. But he can’t resist an adventure with Emmaline. I love how he only has eyes for her and opens his heart.

I absolutely loved how they repeated certain scenes from the last time they were there. The ending was perfect and I’m glad they kept their promise to Jonathan lol. I also can’t wait for this baby to be born or find out what Jane and Charles have done while their parents were away.

A winter’s heart…
“Debonair, handsome and with a devil’s smile. How could any woman resist?”

The Marquess of Winterbourne has long been guided by his Rules of the Rogue, but as emissary for the Crown, his next mission will break every single one. Sent to the wilds of Cornwall to beguile secrets from a country miss, the last thing this rogue expects is to unearth his own buried heart.

A taste of spring…
“A rogue and a fribble. How could any woman succumb?”

Miss Tamsyn Penrose remains far from impressed by charming London scoundrel Lord Winterbourne, preferring a wild gallop over the moors to flashing black eyes and fulsome flattery. But as danger lurks and prejudice ebbs, she uncovers a complex man who awakens her hidden strength and arouses her forgotten fire.

Seasons collide…

Desire sparks and passion flares in this Cornish land of cove and tor. Can Tamsyn step from the shadow of her past? And will Jack Winterbourne tear up the rules for a woman who maddens his senses and thaws his heart?

A sensual Regency Romance with warmth and wit, this story also includes a fusty valet with a secondary love story, picnics, swordplay, peacocks and…piskies.

Oh, how the mighty rogue has fallen. From the moment they met when she almost trampled him you know he’s met his match. She needed him to bring back the fire and he needed her to find his heart. They surprise you and each other at every turn with how they interact and understand each other. The scene with the months just has all the feels and you know they are soul mates.

You will be shocked with just how close the danger lurks and not seeing coming or who it is. I couldn’t decide between two people throughout the story and was still surprised in the end. I love a good sword fight and this one does not disappoint.

The added second love story of Oliver and Lowdy was also amazing. They were meant for each other and both just needed a little push.

Tamsyn survived a terrifying event and is just starting to live again when it all comes back to haunt her. I loved her from the start because that spark in her was waiting to fully come back. She saw the real him that others didn’t and knew she wanted him even if she would have to let him go.

Jack is very much the peacock that loves attention. But as soon as he interacts with Oliver you know there is more to him. He knows how to lift someone up and never lies. I loved that he thought he had caught something because he didn’t believe he could love. He’s been a favorite of mine since the other books he’s been in.

I loved how her father and so many others could see what was between them and kept pushing them to admit it. The scene in the ballroom said it all to everyone that he had fallen. I’m so glad that the weddings were included because everything that happened there made me smile.

Rakes make the worst husbands…

Not that Rex Baluster, the Marquess of Highwater would want her anyway. But when he arrived at Lady Camille Ducat’s door shot and near death, she didn’t hesitate to help him. She had no reputation to preserve after all. She’d given that up when she ended her engagement to another rake. And though her heart beat wildly every time she looked at Rex, she knew that to involve herself with such a man would only lead to heartache.

When the Duke of Longley asked him to help right a wrong, Rex agreed without question. He wasn’t like most lords, having grown up as a street urchin in London’s notorious Docklands. He talked best with his fists. Nor was he afraid when he was wounded. Somehow, Rex had always assumed his end would be as violent as his beginning. What he didn’t expect was for a beautiful angel with the gentlest touch he’s ever known to nurse him back to health. If only he were the type of man who could be a good husband to Lady Camille.

The more time Rex spends with Camille, however, the harder it is to deny his feelings. Can they put their pasts aside? Rakes, after all, make the BEST husbands.

This series is just magical and makes me smile and laugh when it comes to what the men call the curse. These two are a perfect match and you know it from the moment they meet. Love hit them hard and fast and that’s what protected her from evil. I was shocked by how far her mother would go to get what she wants. But the scenes at the party were amazing!

Camille put on a strong front for her sister, but she feared she would pick another horrible man. I loved her from the start, but when she told Chase what she would have done to him, she became a favorite. She wasn’t going to do what her mother wanted no matter what.

Rex knew his heart was lost the moment he saw her. Even stuck in bed injured he could charm anyone. I loved how he didn’t bat an eye at going after Michael and was going to make him pay one way or another.

The ending with the gypsy was amazing and I can’t wait to see what happens next after that.

He was too dangerous to be denied…

The Duke of Longley was a rake and should be left well enough alone. At least that is what Lady Lily Ducat’s mother continually said. As far as Lily could tell, she was correct. His Grace had a devilish air about him and a brooding silence that no debutante should attempt to tame and certainly not grow an affection for. He was too much man and beyond redemption. Except once they are tossed together after a winter storm, she is dangerously close to declaring her love, because in the dark of night, he was all Lily could see.

Maximillian Masters learned long ago to stay far away from dewy eyed maidens. He was too cynical, too experienced, and much too adverse to marriage for such a lady. Which is why he must never see the lovely Lily again, no matter what some ridiculous gypsy predicted. Except, when he is stranded and at the mercy of winter, Lily is there, and the more he sees her, the harder it is to deny temptation.

This is one of the most thrilling ones I’ve read! Definitely read the free prologue How to Reform a Rake first because it really gives that extra boost. No matter what they did fate was going to put them together. He didn’t believe any of it until that door opened. It was a powerful love at first sight with him tossing aside everything to help her if needed. It has one of the best wedding scenes and a great ending.

Lily would do anything to help her sister, even say no to the man she loved. Her mother blamed her for everything and almost destroyed her. I loved how she stood up for herself and listened to her sisters.

Max completely changed as soon as he was around her. I loved how he listened to her sisters and knew what he would do. He was like a puppy when it came to her in front of all those people.

I can’t wait to read her sister’s stories, especially Adelaide because she is really going to be fun.

Today I sharing about Lynn Winchester’s alter-ego Rosamund Winchester. Under this name she writes sexy historical romances with villains that are so chilling that you love them! They are full of adventure, emotions, and passion.

The Men of Blood

Only one book in this series is out, but it made me a lover of medieval romances. Book one introduces the men of the Homme du Sang and you instantly want to know all their stories.

The Blood and The Bloom

1410 A.D.

A man of honor, Sir Tristin LaDeux is the fearless and fierce captain of the Homme du Sang, a chivalric order, called to defend The Church and enforce its edicts. Known throughout Europe for his dedication to his cause, Tristin thinks nothing of embarking on a mission to arrest one common woman, suspected of witchcraft, and bring her to justice.

Practical, intelligent, and beautiful, Bell Heather Caire is determined to make her own way in life, using her skills and knowledge as the village apothecary. She spends her days making salves and powders, worrying not for the ways and means of men—especially the selfish, depraved Willem Mason, a man as determined to have her as she is to be left alone.

When Tristin finds Bell Heather bathing in a waterfall, he is immediately enchanted, but when he discovers that she is the witch he’s been ordered to arrest, everything within him revolts. His head tells him to follow orders, but his heart and his body crave the lush little wench with dirt beneath her nails and light in her soul.

As Tristin gives in to his desire for Bell Heather, she realizes she wants more than just herbs and solitude—she wants Tristin and the fire he ignites in her blood.

But can these two have what they want most when the very thing Tristin believes in is trying to destroy him? And does Bell Heather have a chance against an evil man willing to risk everything to break her? Can the man of blood and the lovely bloom find a place for themselves in a world ready to tear them apart?

The Ravishing Rees

This series is part of the Pirates of Britannia Connected World and while not as steamy as The Men of Blood, there is still a lot of passion (not completely closed door). This family keep you on your toes.

The Ravishing Rees

Born into a murky legacy, Robert “Robbie” Bowlin lives a life of danger, fleshly pleasure, and thievery—never once forgetting about the father who’d died, rambling about ‘that bastard Rees’. When Robbie discovers something that compels him to Wales, he is sure his answers are within reach. But his search for the truth of his heritage brings him to the brink of death when the ship he’s sailing on goes down in a storm.

Glynnis Rees washed her hands of the Rees family long ago—but best laid plans often fail. When a ravishing, dark-haired stranger washes up on her beach, she takes him in, only to realize he looks too much like those Rees’ she’d damned to hell.

But she just can’t turn him away, not when everything within her yearns for his touch…his kisses…his heart.

Robbie can’t believe his luck when he awakens in the bed of the most beautiful and infuriatingly stubborn woman he’s ever met. Though happy to seduce the widow, something within him wants more. She is a siren, enchanting him, making him want things he could never have. Suddenly, Robbie is thrust into a world of piracy and smuggling—and into a fiery passion with a woman even the Ravishing Robbie cannot tame.

When danger rides in on a dark tide, Robbie and Glynnis must battle to survive the storm. But can two wayward hearts find solid ground when everything around them is sinking?

The Savage Sabre

As fierce and deadly as a sword, Saban “The Sabre” Rees runs his family smuggling business with a strong hand and an unmatched loyalty. He is determined to turn the name Rees into a legacy that will endure for generations.

But he had not planned on her.

Esperanza “Essa” Fernandez is the loving and loyal sister to a pirate. Determined to show her brother she can be an asset to the Demonios de Mar, she disguises herself and joins a midnight raiding party. But instead proving herself an asset, she is captured by the most devilishly handsome man she’s ever met.

Trapped and unarmed—but never helpless, Essa cannot allow herself to fall under the devil’s spell. But the more time she spends with the man, the more she wonders if she was fighting for the wrong side.

Saban cannot believe that the creature beneath the pirate garb is a stunning woman, one he cannot seem to exorcise from his blood, but exorcise he must, because once he realizes she is the sister to one of his most hated enemies, he must decide what he wants more…Esperanza or revenge.

It’s all hands on deck between a Welsh smuggler and his enemy Spanish lady-fair!

As fierce and deadly as a sword, Saban “the Sabre” Rees runs his family smuggling business with a strong hand and an unmatched loyalty. He is determined to turn the name Rees into a legacy that will endure for generations.

But he had not planned on her.

Esperanza “Essa” Fernandez is the loyal sister to a pirate lord. Determined to show her brother she can be an asset to the Demonios de Mar, she disguises herself and joins a raid. But instead of proving herself, she is captured by the most devilishly handsome man she’s ever met.

These two defiantly take you on an adventure from the start. I was holding my breath from the time they met and the whole time in the cottage. I never knew what was going to happen between these two. Rosamund has a talent for throwing in a twist just when you think you know how things are going to happen. You don’t see it coming, but it is always awesome.

I have to say the ending between her brother and her was the best ever!

Essa is a strong and stubborn women. I loved her from the start with how she planned to escape. She needed to see the truth with her own eyes to know which side was right.

Saban rules with a strong hand, but has a big heart. I loved that he listened to his heart and was ready to protect her. He can scare you at times, but you come to love him.

The cover on this ones matches what I picture him as really well.

After witnessing how love embittered his uncle and broke his father, Felix Havers, Earl of Ware vows never to love. He conceals his emotions behind a wall of wit and charm, and is celebrated as the master of entertainments—parties, picnics, races. When his best friend’s wallflower sister needs to find a husband, he promises to make her the toast of London… without losing his heart.

Miss Sarah Colton has given up on the pursuit of marriage. When her parents learn she intends to open a millinery shop, they give her an ultimatum: choose a husband or they’ll do it for her. She accepts Felix’s help, never imagining their scheme will ignite a mutual attraction neither of them dare indulge. But when tragedy strikes, can they heal each other or will the demons of Felix’s past consume them both?

I have never smiled reading a book a much as I have with this one. These two just make you smile from the start with how made for each other they are. They are alike in many ways and see in each other what others don’t. That spark was was always there waiting and it ignited with one game at a party. These two can’t keep their hands off of each other.

I was so unprepared for what happened with her parents that I almost dropped my Kindle. The emotions and aftereffects really came off the pages. Felix was there to help no matter what. When Anthony burst through the door I actually spoke out loud with what I was thinking. The ending was perfect and everyone was finally happy.

Sarah is full of sass and will not be told what to do by anyone. I loved her right away with her plans to open the shop and how she talked with Felix about it. She saw that there was more to him and was determined to help him and give to him like he did everyone else.

Felix is happy when he is making others happy and doesn’t know how to let others do the same for him. He made me smile at every turn and broke my heart when everything about his past came out. But it didn’t ruin him like he thought.

I was worried about Anthony and that something would happen to him and hope he finds happiness.

A freak accident takes away every memory of Allison Adams’s life for the past decade. It also leaves her sightless. She isn’t sure of anything, not even who she has been for the past ten years, but when the man claiming to be her husband holds her, it feels familiar and right. How can she be certain this is where she belongs?

Sharing his life with the woman he adores and their two children has given A.J. Adams the strength to keep his demons buried. When a murderous specter from the past rises, igniting new challenges, everything A.J. cherishes hangs in the balance. To win Allison’s love again, he’ll battle those demons. Fortunately, surrender has never been in his vocabulary.
Is there any chance to regain sight of their past and see a way to a shared future?

Their love can truly survive anything thrown at them. It starts out with a bang and they just keep coming and every step of the way they stay strong. I was holding my breath with every second of them being in that mine and knew that with that coming to an end more was coming. The struggle with her having no memory or sight was heartbreaking, but there was always a hint of their love there.

They are two stubborn people and every argument brought back more of the spark between them. I never expected any of the things that threatened them and never knew what was going to happen next. I loved the advice she was given after her memory came back, but my heart sank at what caused her sight to come back. The ending though was amazing and I didn’t want it to end.

Allison is still the strong and stubborn woman she was ten years ago. She wasn’t going to let anything keep her down. I loved that she still kept going and telling him he wasn’t a gentleman.

A.J.’s charm has not faded with age and he still melts my heart. I loved that he wasn’t going to give up on her and even tried to start over in his own sweet way. He still has a temper that and being a judge just makes it more fun when he gets mad.

The scene with all the ladies and their guns would scare anyone. Little Pammy is going to be a force to be reckoned with more than she is now when she grows up. Doctor Archer’s advice had me laughing. This is definitely going on my favorites list.

Allison Webster dreams of having an adventure like the characters in the books she loves. But there is no romance in being pursued by a man who wants her dead for educating the children of former slaves. Unlike the heroines she reads about she doesn’t have a trusty companion to rescue her…until she literally runs into A.J. Adams, a former Confederate cavalry officer. Now, she just has to convince A.J. he really is the honorable man and hero depicted in the dime novel she is reading.

Branded a “traitor” for more than ten years, scarred by harsh treatment in an inhumane prisoner of war camp, A.J. Adams wants revenge. Allison Webster’s arrival into his life provides the bait to destroy the men who murdered his wife and daughters and kidnapped his little brother. The men pursuing Allison are the very same men he has sworn to kill. Falling in love and admitting he might actually be a hero means surrendering his need for vengeance. Surrender is not part of A.J.’s battle strategy.

Be still my heart when it comes to this story! I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put it down. Twisted fate brought them together and helped so many people. They are a couple that from their first meeting you know are they are going to be fun. I loved that Lynda didn’t really sugarcoat when it came to what A.J. went through. I was holding my breath when it came to so many scenes because I didn’t know what was going to happen next.

Allison is a smart and strong woman that sees A.J. for the hero he is. I loved her from the moment she said he wasn’t a gentleman. She may have been scared, but she didn’t back down. I loved that she could pull him out of his thoughts.

A.J. just wants to live his life, but he can’t let her be taken back for a crime she didn’t commit. There is just something about him that makes you love him instantly. He always put other first no matter what.

Lynda does an amazing job writing where you can hear the accents when they talk. The proposal is one of my favorite and unique ones. I laughed at the scene with Allison and Rachael about the guns. I really loved the author’s notes at the end.

A Duke, A Debutante, and An Arranged Marriage…

She secretly cut in the shadows and covered her scars with satin and lace.

Louella Rose is perfect. Beautiful. Refined. The answer to all her family’s woes. No one knows that beneath her flawless complexion, behind her mesmerizing eyes, she hides her pain in shame.

Lord Stanton promised to marry the woman of his father’s choice by the age of thirty and that time has finally come. To his surprise and delight, the chosen lady is the perfect debutante, for him anyhow, and he couldn’t be happier… until he discovers the scars that make no sense – scars that shatter the illusion of perfection.

Lies, greed and blood lay waste to a most promising marriage. Can their love overcome the ravages of guilt and carry them through life’s imperfections?

Historical romance unlike anything else.

A story that proves that we are all perfectly imperfect and we all have battle scars. This story shows how the strain of being perfect can lead to real scars. Cameron and Louella were meant to be together and their story is full of ups and downs. When they were together it was like they were new people not afraid to be themselves. I wanted to scream every time her mother spoke to her because she just made things worse. You will go through a rollercoaster of emotions reading this. There are many heartwarming moments especially the one with little Luke.

Louella has been told she is perfect and the strain is too much for anyone. She broke my heart every time she went to her sewing box and when she was trying to explain it. But this story shows her journey and the struggle to stop hurting herself. I wanted to cheer the moment it changed for her.

Cameron has always wanted to be himself and understands that people have flaws. He doesn’t pretend to understand why, but tries to and to help her when she needs it. My heart broke for him with the news about the mine. He always had her best interest from the start. I loved that he also had an imperfection from the start.

The ending will warm your heart with it being perfectly imperfect as things should be. I can’t wait for Oliva’s story.

This book does include a trigger warning which I applaud. Cutting is not something I have experience with, but I believe Annabelle did an amazing job. She approached it from all angles and did her research.
